Your child will need to bring
A labelled bag they can carry themselves containing:
A hat is essential to protect your child against the dangers of sunburn and skin cancer and must be worn at all times during outdoor activities. It must be a shady hat which protects the top of the head, ears and neck areas (not a cap as per the Sun Protection Policy).
Shirts with sleeves (no shoestring straps or sleeveless tops: as per the Sun Protection Policy).
A set of spare clothes (to be kept in the child’s bag and renewed if used – but not stored in a plastic bag for safety reasons). Spare clothes should suit the season. Any soiled clothes will be placed in a waterproof bag, in a sealed container for the parents to take home.
Please dress your child in clothes that are suitable and comfortable for participation in every area of the program…painting, sand play, water play, resting and that your child can manage themselves in the bathroom.
Please ensure all of your child’s items are labelled including clothes, shoes, hats, spare clothes, sheet set, all lunchboxes and drink bottles.
Parents are asked to apply sunscreen/insect repellent before coming to kindy each day because it should be applied at least 20 minutes before playing outside AND give permission in writing for the staff to apply a lotion which is used by the centre.
